Who we are
This website is operated by Edward Printer Solutions, owned by Edward Peters, 1493 Oakleaf Dr, St. Anne, IL 60964, USA ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the information described here. We are an independent company providing printer solutions to businesses, not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any printer manufacturer.
Edward Printer Solutions provides printer solutions to businesses only. We do not provide services to households or for personal use. The information described here is the business contact information of people who contact us on behalf of a business or organisation.
Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].
Information we collect
We only collect what we need to send the free guide your organisation asks for or to carry out an on-site visit.
- Business contact details: company name, business type, company size, your name, work email address, (optionally) a phone number, and your confirmation that the request is for a business. For a free guide request, also your country or region.
- Service address: when you book an on-site visit, the street address, suite, city, state and ZIP code of the business where the printer is, and your confirmation that, as far as you know, the address is within 65 miles of St. Anne, Illinois.
- Printer details: how many printers need work, printer brand, model or series, the problem you selected, any error code or message you typed, and, for a free guide, the device you print from.
- Visit details: your preferred visit time, any notes you add, a record that you accepted our terms and the independent-provider notice, the date and time we confirm for the visit, the technician's notes about the work, written quotes for parts or extra time and your approval of them, and payment records for the visit.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and referring page, collected through standard server logs, the security checks on our forms and Google Analytics. Until you accept analytics cookies, the Google tag sets no cookies but still sends Google cookieless pings (page address, browser details and IP address) under Google Consent Mode.
If you pay for a visit by card, the card is processed by a payment provider and we do not see or store full card numbers.
How we use your information
- To compile and email the free step-by-step guide your organisation requested.
- To check that a request is for a business, because we do not provide services to households or for personal use.
- To check that a visit address is within our service area (65 miles of St. Anne, Illinois) and to contact you to confirm your visit date and time.
- To carry out the visit at your business, prepare written quotes for any parts or extra time you approve, and record the work done.
- To email you a confirmation of your guide request or visit request.
- To take payment when the visit is complete, keep payment records, handle cancellations and refunds, and keep records required by law.
- To keep the site and its forms secure and to improve the guides and the request forms.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Google advertising cookies are used only if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can switch them off at any time with "Cookie settings" or "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in the footer.
Legal bases (EEA / UK visitors)
- Contract: processing needed to send the guide or carry out the visit your organisation requested.
- Consent: analytics and advertising cookies and any marketing email; you can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests: site and form security, fraud prevention, confirming that requests come from businesses, and improving our guides.
- Legitimate interests: cookieless measurement pings sent by the Google tag before you choose (no cookies, no advertising profile).
- Legal obligation: tax and accounting records for paid visits.
On-site visits
A visit takes place only at your business address, at a date and time we confirm with you. The technician works on your printers, and on the computers and network settings they print through, only with your permission.
We never ask for account passwords, banking details or government ID, and we do not install software without telling you what it is. Where a computer needs a sign-in, a member of your staff signs in.
Google Maps
The map on our home page loads only after you click "Show map". Until then no Google Maps content is loaded. After you click, Google receives your IP address and browser details and may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). The "Open St. Anne, IL in Google Maps" link takes you to Google's website, where Google's policies apply.
Google Analytics and Google Ads
With your consent, Google Analytics measures how visitors use the site, including when a request form is sent successfully (without the details you type into the form), and Google Ads measures whether our ads lead to requests. Without your consent these Google cookies are not set. Until you accept, the Google tag still loads and sends Google cookieless pings under Consent Mode. See the Cookie Policy.
Data retention
- Guide requests, and visit requests that do not lead to a visit: up to 12 months, then deleted or anonymised.
- Visit, quote and payment records: for the period required for tax and accounting (typically 7 years).
- Server logs: up to 90 days.
Your rights
Depending on where you are located (including the EEA, UK, California and other US states, Australia and Canada) you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information ("right to be forgotten").
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and opt out of marketing.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights email [email protected] from the address you used with us. We respond within 30 days.
Cookies
Necessary cookies (your cookie choice, and Cloudflare's security cookies that protect our forms) are always set. Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies are set only after you accept them in the cookie banner; they are off for every visitor until then. Google Maps loads only after you click "Show map". You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. Full list and durations: Cookie Policy.
Security
Information is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with access limited to people who need it. Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile and request limits. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify you and the relevant authority of any breach where the law requires.
Children
Our services are for businesses and organisations and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Our providers may be located outside your country. Where data leaves the EEA or UK we rely on standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page shows the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
